As a child, I was very enthusiastic about drawing rangolis during festivals. I used to love sketching human figures and deities, till my parents encouraged me and asked me to take it up as a profession. I was barely in the 8th grade when they realised my talent and motivated me to make it my career. My style is what you could term as Contemporary Naturalism. It incorporates the traditional approach with modern techniques such as flatness of space. I love nature and birds and can spend hours observing them in my garden. My specialisation in the final year of college was Portraiture and my works are an extension of this subject. The identity of the models is not significant as the paintings are autobiographical in nature, so the emotions I feel are portrayed through the compositions, my conversation with nature as it were
