“The human mind expresses emotions through various art forms, shaped by the
surrounding environment and visual experiences.”
“Konkan, which is dear to my heart, is my primary subject in art. My past experiences of
Konkan’s nature, its diverse forms, the vibrant atmosphere, simple homes, the vast ocean,
the serenity of nature, and the lush greenery, all these visuals give me a sense of peace and
a meditative experience.
The daily life of konkani people is intertwined with various customs, traditions, and culture,
reflecting warmth and simplicity among individuals, as well as a connection to nature. This
humanity preserves the essence of being human. All these experiences inspire me as an
artist.
In Konkan, there is enthusiasm during various festivals. The different folk art forms
influence human life. All these visual experiences inspire me as an artist and further ignite
my curiosity towards Konkan. The legacy of our ancestors in our home is felt in every object
and element within it. I am emotionally connected to each and every object and element
from Konkan. That is why I express my feelings towards Konkan through various art forms
such as installation, performing arts, and land art. In my artistic language, the simplicity of
the human mind, compassion, and love for nature are central themes.
In this process of expression, I am experiencing joy. Each time, this process fuels my
curiosity. I find myself viewing my own identity in a new form once again.”
