The above statement of Plato describes Vivek's idea of the expression of interiority...
When Abstract came into visual arts, then the word 'Formless' But it is not the case that the immortal is always vile. It is distinct from the object but not in its creation. This is the reason why Vivek needed to say 'abstract art' instead of 'non-Figurative' and this word became popular for Abstract.
Vivek’s Abstract paintings are the festival of pure beautiful colours, It is so rhythmic that it is difficult to believe that either we are watching a picture or the dance of colours. In Vivek's creations, you can see the coherence of colours and their development with the line, surface, recess very clearly. In his creativity, Vivek makes his expression possible by applying the basic elements of visual arts with the technique of Abstract.
Vivek puts combinations in light, shadows & beautiful figurative forms with the rhythmic way which reflects the lively atmosphere and Harmonious surroundings. Vivek is ever inspired by Mother Nature with the various aspects and views towards life & Prosperity.

Exhibition of paintings by Maruti Patil
Maruti Patil paints in Oils as well as in Watercolours. His subjects are very simple, yet he creates a world of his own. Sometimes he indulges in painting details but never forgets that the whole is more than the sum, a total of its parts.
His figures with their peculiar contemplative moods attract attention. His landscapes show mostly rural India, with fascinating details like huts bamboos, sheep, cattle etc. with an infinite unforgettable sky above.
Giving a dreamy aura to everyday elements without compromising on the harmony between them, reflects his eye for dramatization. He is completely free from all the preconceived ideas, method and isms of the art world and expresses himself through an art form of his own.
Of his Landscapes, Patil says, ‘I sketch my landscapes on the spot, but paint them later. I try to bring the feel of the atmosphere into my paintings- hence their dreamy colour scheme’’. He adds, "Capturing nature in full bloom is what I love to do best, and that is the reason why my landscapes are lush, with the colour green featuring prominently’’ While his landscapes are surreal, Patil’s Paintings of flowers are so lifelike that it is hard to believe they are usual.

Indian Terrain
A watercolor artist based in Pune, Sanjay Desai has a number of group and solo exhibitions to his credit. Sanjay believes in re-creating the atmosphere in his painting without getting bogged down by technique or exactness. He sets up a fast rhythm while executing his work to achieve the results. The purpose is to make the viewer identify with the place, time, weather, noise and aromas to help create a connection with the painting that goes beyond the paper and pigment. Exhibition of Paintings by Surabhi Gulwelkar
Surabhi's Journey from Mumbai suburbs to Art and Fashion inspiration capital of the world-Italy has transformed her completely. In her solo exhibition in Art2Day, she will showcase somewhat around 24 artworks. According to the artist, this exhibition is like a “Honeycomb” for her that reflects depository of ideas and visualization during her journey from Mumbai to Italy and back to her native place.
Her artworks were broadly divided into two parts; firstly, when she was a art student at Sir J.J.School of Arts, where she was inspired by the mundane things around the campus including nature and secondly, when she traveled to Italy where, she was highly inspired by clean and clear water of Mediterranean Italian seas.
What makes her artworks unique is her style of highlighting a subject in fewer strokes by just capturing the impression of the visuals rather than going in more elaborate details. Another unique thing was the magical played of light and shadow, giving a glimpse of 18th century Impressionism. No doubt the artist has her own pictorial language that advocate realism rather than absolute imitation. She only used knife with few bold strokes and cleverly blending merging techniques to add a melodrama in a single frame.

Sublimation celebration
This body of work spans over more than two years and was a typically not conceived as a single pointed body of works, although they started showing a common concern as the works started collating.
These works were done in between other projects or
what I then considered to be more important works, just to get back to the pure joy of mark making and the innocent thrill of seeing something tangible emerge from a bundle of strokes or a simple wash. This included a variety of subjects from purely abstract expressionist to more fully realized figurative works.
As it stands these works are the figurative works that have been compiled, which have an emergent common narrative or point of origin. The works prominently feature but are not limited to the female figure in motion and in particular dance. The suit also contains nudes.
The reduction of colour and an achromatic palette, in a way do away with the superfluous sensuous. The entire weight of the works is on the tonal shifts that account for the light moving across the figure/ body. The heavy darks of the garments juxtaposing the delicate washes of the figure heighten its flesh like quality.
